Student Claims Racial Discrimination at South Windsor Schools: Report
The student's family has filed a complaint with the state Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities against the school district.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT – A Hartford resident who has attended South Windsor schools since 2012 through the Open Choice program claims he has been the subject of racial discrimination on school grounds and his family has filed a complaint with the state Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Courant reports the South Windsor High School student’s complaint alleges that students of color have been called racial epithets and are treated more harshly than district students and are at times punished as a group, not individually.
