Vernon Man Accused of Stealing Construction Tools in South Windsor

Police say the man pawned the items at an East Hartford pawn shop.

A Vernon man faces larceny charges after allegedly stealing construction tools from a South Windsor home and pawning them, according to a police press release.

South Windsor police arrested Roger Rothe, 22, of 35 Miriam Drive in Vernon, on two arrest warrants Wednesday. He was charged with third-degree larceny and fourth-degree larceny.

Police said Rothe’s charges stem from a September 2014 larceny complaint at a Woodland Drive home. Rothe pawned stolen construction tools at an East Hartford pawn shop, according to police.

Investigators recovered the stolen items and later obtained arrest warrants for Rothe, police said.

Rothe was held on a $3,000.00 surety bond and will be presented at Manchester Superior Court on Thursday, Jan. 29.
