• Stafford AppleFest Returns Sept. 26 With Music, Food And Family Activities (patch.com) — Stafford residents can look forward to AppleFest returning downtown on Saturday, Sept. 26, with activities spread across Stafford Springs locations like Haymarket Common, Hyde Park and Main Street. The festival will feature apple-themed contests, live music, artisan vendors, food, and demonstrations, and organizers are still accepting vendor applications and volunteers.
   

• Distressed Hiker Rescued From Trail In Stafford (patch.com) — Emergency crews from West Stafford and Stafford quickly located a lost hiker on a wooded trail near Old Springfield and Worthington Road and brought them out safely. Multiple local agencies, including Stafford Ambulance and Connecticut State Police, coordinated the response, and the hiker was ultimately able to return home without any reported medical complications.
