A vehicle became stuck on a guardrail in Willington over the weekend.

WILLINGTON, CT — A vehicle became stuck on a guardrail in Willington over the weekend. The driver is now stuck with a drunken driving charge, state police said.
The crash took place at 4:21 p.m. Saturday near the River Road-Schofield Road intersection, state police said.
Troopers arrived at the scene to find a vehicle stuck on a guardrail with debris strewn across the pavement, according to an incident report.

The driver, a 58-year-old Willington man, was suspected of being drunk and subsequently failed field sobriety tests, according to a state police report. The car turned out to be unregistered, state police said.
The driver was charged with driving under the influence, state police said.
