WILLINGTON, CT — A car wound up slamming into a concrete barrier on Interstate 84 in Willington Wednesday after being cut off by another vehicle state police said.

The driver, a 49-year-old Worcester, MA, man, escaped serious injury, state police said.

The car, a 2013, Honda Accord, wasn't so lucky. According to a crash report, it was headed west on I-84 in the center lane near Exit 70 at 11:01 a.m. Wednesday. A car to the right began merging into the center lane and the driver tried to take corrective action, according to a crash report.

The Honda then crashed into the barrier and had to be towed from the scene, according to a crash report.
