Construction Crew Fixes Sign In Stafford Taken Out By Driver
A car ran over a sign in Stafford and a construction crew picked it up, and the tab as well.

STAFFORD, CT — A construction company working on Main Street in Stafford decided to fix a pedestrian crossing sign itself after it was run over by a vehicle last week, state police said.
The incident took place at 2:18 p.m. on May 21, state police said.
According to a state police crash report, a 1995 Honda Accord was heading east on Main Street. The 39-year-old Willington woman behind the wheel told state police she was having a problem with the "shifter," and looked down at it, only to swerve into a curb and then a sign, according to a crash report.
