STAFFORD, CT — A crash knocked out power at Johnson Memorial Hospital for a period of time last week, state police said.

According to a state police crash report, at 7:18 a.m. on Oct 8, a 2005 Ford explorer being driven by a 26-year-old Ashford man was heading west on Route 190. The driver tried to turn left into Johnson Memorial Hospital when a 2023 Nissan Armada with a 32-year-old woman behind the wheel "turned into its path," and forced it into a utility pole, according to a crash report.

Power was temporarily knocked out to parts of the the hospital, according to a crash report.
