Driver Charged With DUI, Vehicular Assault In 2021 Willington Crash
A driver has been charged as part of an investigation into a three-vehicle crash near a bar in Willington last year.

WILLINGTON, CT — A motorist involved in a three-vehicle crash nearly a year ago on Route 32 has been charged with drunken driving and assault with a motor vehicle, according to a state police arrest report.
Ethan Brennan, 31, was charged last week with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle and driving under the influence, along with registration, lane, left-turn, insurance and yielding violations, according to a warrant. He posted a $10,000 bond in the case and is set to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Aug. 23.
According to a warrant, the crash took place at 10:58 p.m. on Sept. 10. A trooper on regular patrol came upon a crash including three sport utility vehicles on Route 32 in front of the American Eagle Saloon.

An unregistered 2003 Dodge Durango appeared to have caused the crash, according to a warrant. One occupant of another SUV suffered a severe cut to the face, according to a warrant. Other injuries were reported, according to warrant.
The driver of the Durango, identified as Brennan, failed field sobriety tests, according to a warrant. He told state police he was headed to the saloon after having "a few beers" at another establishment, according to a warrant.
