WILLINGTON, CT — A driver trying to tend to an infant crashed his car on Route 74 in Willington, state police said.

At 9:22 a.m. on Feb. 2, a 29-year-old Killingly resident was heading south in a 2012 Hyundai Tucson on Tolland Turnpike, the local name for Route 74. He began "tending" to his passenger, listed in a crash report as a 9-month-old boy, and lost control of the vehicle, state police said.

The vehicle then slammed into a wire rope guardrail, according to a crash report.

The vehicle was wrecked, but the driver and the youngster were not injured, according to a crash report.
