STAFFORD, CT — An excavators being towed on a major road in Stafford last week was just a but too high, state police said.

According to a crash report, at 7:12 p.m. on Oct. 10, a truck from a Manchester-cased company was towing an excavator northbound on Route 32 and the excavator struck some overhanging wires.

Crews from Comcast descended on the scene to re-hang them.

State police said no one was injured, but the driver, a 37-year-old from Glastonbury, was ticketed for driving a vehicle with excessive height.
