STAFFORD, CT — Large snow piles restricting sight lines was blamed for a recent accident in Stafford, state police said.

The crash took place at 6:19 a.m. on Feb. 26, according to a crash report.

At that time, a 33-year-old Stafford man was heading east on Route 19 in a 2014 Ford Fusion, according to a crash report. Suddenly, a 19-year-old Stafford man driving a 2009 Mazda 3i pulled out in front of the Ford from Pinecrest Road and the two vehicles collided, according to a crash report.

The driver of the Mazda said the snow piles at the end of Pinecrest restricted vision onto Route 19, according to a crash report. Nevertheless, the driver was cited for failure to grant the right of way, state police said.

No injuries were reported.
