'Medical Condition' Cited As Car Wrecks Pole In Stafford
A car ran into a utility pole in Stafford over the weekend.

STAFFORD, CT — A car took out a utility pole in a crash Sunday in Stafford.
State police said the crash took place at 2:26 p.m.
According t0 a state police report, a 2014 Ford Escape driven by a 58-year-old Stafford woman was heading west on Orcuttville Road, when it suddenly veered off the road and stuck a utility pole, according to a state police report. State police said a "medical condition" caused the driver to swerve.

The pole snapped in half and the driver was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital, sate police said. The extent of her injuries was not outlined in a state police report.
A crew from Eversource Energy responded to the scene, state police said.
