Pickup Takes Out Several Signs In Willington
The driver of a pickup did not have a good time of it on an exit ramp in Willington, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A pickup truck left a path of destruction on a highway exit ramp before skidding to a stop in the middle of a busy road in Willington, state police said.
The incident took place July 12 at 8:40 a.m., according to a crash report.
State police said a 2021 GMS Sierra with a 34-year-old Coventry woman driving was headed east on Interstate 84 and was attempting to leave the highway at Exit 70. While coming to the end of the off-ramp, the driver could not stop in time and the truck veered on to shoulder, smashed into several Department of Transportation signs and a stop sign, according to a crash report.

The truck came to a final rest in the middle of River Road, according to a crash report.
The driver escaped injury but was. cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
