State Cops Find Loose Trailer On I-84, Then Find Driver In Willington
A wayward trailer wreaked early morning havoc on I-84, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A 28-year-old New Haven man is facing several charges after state police located a loose camper trailer in the middle of the northern reaches of Interstate 84.
At 1 a.m. on May 23, state police received several 911 calls about a camper trailer that had become detached from a vehicle "in the middle of the highway" near Exit 73 on the westbound side of I-84 in Union, according to an incident report.
State police then located a U-Haul pickup truck near Exit 70 in Willington and pulled it over, according to an incident report. The camper was too big for the truck and became detached, according to an incident report. A tire then blew out and a rim began "gouging" the pavement, state police said.
