Teen Heading To Concert Clocked At 106 MPH In Northeast CT Work Zone
A teen was stopped for dangerous driving on I-84 in northeast Connecticut, state police said.

ASHFORD, CT — State police last week snagged a teen driver who had hit 106 mph in a construction zone on a northern stretch of Interstate 84.
The incident took place at 11:17 a.m. on Oct. 9, state police said.
At that time, state police were on a traffic detail on I-84 westbound near Exit 72. The encountered a 2007 Mazda sedan with Massachusetts plates traveling at a high rate of speed, which registered at 106 mph on a laser device, according to an arrest report.

As he was speeding through the area, a crew of Department of Transportation workers was on foot in the right lane, according to an arrest report.
After stopping the car, the 18-year-old from Leominster, MA, told troopers he was "heading to a Travis Scott concert" in New Jersey, according to an arrest report.
