Willington Resident Seriously Hurt In Single-Car Crash
The accident took place Wednesday in Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — A 67-year-old Willington man was seriously hurt after his sports sedan hit a utility pole in Willington Wednesday, state police said.
State police said they are looking for witnesses as they piece together just what happened in the single-car accident.
According to a crash report, the vehicle, a 2013 BMW 550xi, hit the pole on Tolland Turnpike in the area of Daleville Road. Tolland Turnpike, the local name for Route 74.

The driver was transported to Hartford Hospital by members of the Willington Fire Department with suspected serious injuries, according to a crash report.
That section of Tolland Turnpike was closed for about two hours.
