'Afternoon Of Jazz' Concert Scheduled For June 26 In Stamford
Co-sponsored with the Ferguson Library, the concert will feature live music celebrating the diversity and global appeal of jazz.
STAMFORD, CT — Mayor Caroline Simmons' Multicultural Council Chair Eva Weller and council members recently announced that the next popular free jazz and Latin concert will be held on Sunday, June 26, from 2 p.m to 4:30 p.m., (doors open at 1:30 pm) at The Ferguson Library Dudley N. Williams, Jr. Auditorium, located at 1 Library Plaza.
Co-sponsored with the Ferguson Library, the concert will feature live music celebrating the diversity and global appeal of jazz.
The 2022 line-up includes the following popular local artists performing Latin, Caribbean and classic jazz standards:

“Serenade in Rio” with multilingual singer Barbara Espinosa Occhino and singer Maria Tiscia accompanied by Eddie Monteiro (accordion) and Joe Stelluti (woodwinds), Chris Coogan Quintet (piano, vocals), Nick Devito (clarinet), Jim Clark (saxophone), Steve Taylor (bass), and Kurt Berglund (drums).
Acoustic guitarist Michael Nunziante performs on the charango (a traditional instrument from the Andes).
