Girl Reported Missing From Stamford, Police Ask Public For Help (patch.com) — Stamford police are asking residents to help locate juvenile Peyton Lovett, who left her west side home on foot and was last seen walking east on Tresser Boulevard, possibly toward the train station. Family members think she may have returned to New York City, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Stamford Police Youth Bureau or text an anonymous tip.

Lodging Business Among 231 New Businesses Registered In Stamford In August (patch.com) — Stamford saw a surge of entrepreneurial activity in August, with 231 new businesses registering across sectors like real estate, residential rentals, and software. Locals may notice new names such as Sacred Altar lodging, 249 STAMFORD restaurant, and Coffee Truck J Carrera as these ventures move from paperwork to opening their doors.
   

4. Popular Stamford Italian restaurant closes after 5 years. A new eatery is moving in (ctpost.com) — Stamford diners will see a big change on Bank Street as Italian restaurant Quartiere closes and Peruvian spot Fiesta on Main prepares to move into 51 Bank St., aiming to open by Oct. 1. Quartiere's team has already launched KIN Social in Harbor Point, while Fiesta's move continues a wave of recent restaurant shakeups across the city's dining scene.
   

5. Stamford assistant librarian honored for saving coworker who suffered cardiac arrest (abc7ny.com) — A Stamford assistant librarian is being honored after using CPR and a defibrillator to help save a coworker who went into cardiac arrest at the Harry Bennett Branch last month. The colleague, still recovering from a Lyme-related heart issue, joined a ceremony at Stamford Police Headquarters where staff and community members praised the quick response and training that made the rescue possible.
