Coca-Cola Employees Team Up with Boys & Girls Club and

Stamford, CT, May 4, 2012 –  On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, Coca-Cola and the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford joined forces as part of the Boys & Girls Club Triple Play Healthy Habits program and provided  a day of hands on community service at Fairgate Farm on Stillwater Avenue

Over 25 Coca-Cola employees came out for their Community Service Day and worked along side youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford building trellises, weeding, planting, composting and harvesting greens for Stamford Hospital.  Coca-Cola employees were also joined by representatives of Charter Oaks Communities and Stamford Hospital.  Mayor Pavia came out to show his support and personally thank the employees of Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola also donated 15 recycled syrup drums to Fairgate Farm for reuse as rain barrels for its community composting program. These barrels encourage water conservation and will help provide 750 gallons of clean water for irrigation.  They will also serve to educate the Boys & Girls Club students about the value of water conservation and recycling.
