STAMFORD, CT — As part of Gap Inc's plan to close stores across North America, Banana Republic will leave the Stamford Town Center later this month.

The last day of business for the Stamford store will be Jan. 24, according to a spokesperson from Banana Republic.

"We continue to thoughtfully analyze our real estate strategy to support the best path forward," the spokesperson said. "In October 2020, Gap Inc. shared plans to close approximately 350 of Gap and Banana Republic stores across North America by the end of 2023, with the goal of having a smaller and healthier fleet of stores. The closure of Stamford is in support of these efforts."
