Child Guidance Center Welcomes New Directors

Meet the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut's new Director of Outpatient Services and Quality Improvement Outcomes Director

To help meet the increasing mental and behavioral needs of our communities’ youth, the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut (CGC) recently recruited Nancy Magnetti, LMFT as their new Director of Outpatient Services, and Rachel Mackson, MSW as their new Quality Improvement and Outcomes Director.

CGC has streamlined their organizational structure to provide more effective and efficient services for children and their families. Dr. Jessica Welt, former Chief of Mobile and Urgent Services, was promoted to Clinical Director, now overseeing all CGC services. “A Director of Outpatient Services position was created to manage all aspects of in-office treatment, from the initial call to ensuring that each child receives high quality, evidence-based mental health treatment,” explained CGC’s President and CEO, Dr. Eliot Brenner.

A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Ms. Magnetti served as the Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy Program Director at Family and Children’s Aid, where she worked for ten years as a manager and clinical supervisor. She also served as the Manager at Liberation Programs in Stamford, providing oversight to both outpatient and residential programs, and supervising full-time clinicians and interns. Ms. Magnetti has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Lynchburg College and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University.
