Coronavirus Stamford: All Body Care Facilities Closed
Businesses such as nail salons, barbershops and message parlors in Stamford are temporarily closed, according to city officials.
STAMFORD, CT — Mayor David Martin announced Thursday all body care facilities in Stamford will be closed effective Friday, March 20, as the city, and the state, grapples with the new coronavirus. According to the announcement, this includes businesses such as nail salons, beauty parlors, massage parlors, massage therapists, barbershops, hairdressers, cosmetologists, estheticians and eyelash technicians.
Martin said these closures are part of preventative measures implemented by both the state and the city to limit unnecessary direct contact between individuals and reduce the risk of spreading the virus, also referred to as COVID-19.
