Cost Of Renovations To Stamford School In The Millions: Report
Westover Magnet Elementary School has been closed since the fall due to mold concerns.
STAMFORD, CT — The cost to renovate Stamford's Westover Magnet Elementary School, which has been closed since the fall due to mold concerns, could exceed $20 million, according to officials, writes the Stamford Advocate.
Among the reported improvements needed at the school are new floors and walls, a new heating and cooling system and grade work to some of the infrastructure outside of the facility.
The hope is get the school repaired and reopened for the 2020-21 school year. In the meantime, students have been relocated to the former Pitney Bowes headquarters on Elmcroft Road.
