STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department will host a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stamford Police Station, 725 Bedford St.
The event will offer residents a free, anonymous way to dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs such as Tylenol and aspirin, and pet medications. Officials say the initiative is intended to provide an environmentally safe disposal option and help prevent misuse of medications.
The site will operate as a drive-thru location. Liquids, creams and needles will not be accepted.

Medication lock bags will be available while supplies last, and free Narcan kits will also be distributed.
An educational component will include the “Stashed Away Trailer,” a mobile exhibit designed to highlight the hidden dangers of substance abuse. The interactive display demonstrates common places where drugs and alcohol may be concealed.
