Graduation Dates Announced For Stamford Public Schools

STAMFORD, CT — With the end of the school year fast approaching, the Stamford Public Schools District has announced dates for graduation and moving-up ceremonies.

Earlier this week during a meeting of the board of education's labor committee, the district announced the following dates:

• Adult education graduation - June 1
• Elementary school moving-up ceremonies - June 12
• Middle school moving-up ceremonies - June 14
• High school graduations - June 13
• Last day of school - June 14
• Due to a power outage earlier in the school year, Turn of River Middle School will have its last day on June 15

Times have not been announced yet. The Stamford Advocate reported that board of education member Fritz Cherry earlier this week asked Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero if the high school graduations could be staggered throughout the day.

Lucero said that would be "tricky." Times will be announced as soon as possible, the Advocate said.
