Homicide Ruled In Death Of Stamford Woman: Update
The 74-year-old victim was killed on June 11 in a gristly manner.

STAMFORD, CT — Eden Claxton, 74, has been identified as the woman who was killed in her Hycliff Terrace home in Stamford early Monday, and the state Office of Chief Medical Examiner said Thursday that her throat had been slit, reports the Stamford Advocate.
Stamford police are continuing to piece together the circumstances surrounding the death, but are calling it an isolated incident , and that the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Claxton's husband, Allen Claxton, 75, reportedly was home at the time, and though he has been questioned by Stamford police, no charges have been filed against him or anyone else, as of Thursday night.

Officers and paramedics were called to the scene at about 8:25 a.m. by Allen Claxton, told police he found his wife bloodied, not breathing and with no pulse, though she was still warm to the touch, according to the Advocate.
Hycliff Terrace was closed off from Monday morning into Tuesday afternoon, and investigators were seen looking for evidence throughout the neighborhood.

The Claxton murder is the city's second in the past two weeks. Antonio Robinson, 18, was shot and killed on May 31.
