ID Released Of Motorcyclist Killed In Crash: Stamford Police

Police said a 44-year-old man on a motorcycle left the roadway and struck a fence and a tree in the early morning hours of Nov. 7.

STAMFORD, CT — Police have identified the 44-year-old man who waskilled in a motorcycle crash early Thursday morning as Heber Lopez, of Stamford.

Lopez was driving a 2024 BMW motorcycle northbound on Long Ridge Road near the junction with Brook Run Lane in Stamford at approximately 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 7 when he left the roadway on the northbound side, struck a fence, and then a tree, according to police.

Police said Lopez was thrown from the bike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
