Lengthy Water Main Replacement Project To Begin Soon In Stamford: Here's What To Know
The project is expected to last several months and result in minor traffic delays and possible detours, according to Aquarion Water Company.
STAMFORD, CT — Aquarion Water Company is scheduled to begin a water main replacement project in Stamford on April 15, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain system reliability and improve water quality.
Work will start on Woodridge Drive South and continue to Amherst Court, Amherst Place, Bridle Path Road, Buckingham Drive, Clorinda Court, Elaine Drive, Florence Court, Meadowpark Avenue South, Three Lakes Drive and Warwick Lane in the area of High Ridge Road and Long Ridge Road.
The project is expected to be completed by September 2026, with final paving to be coordinated with the City of Stamford.

The project will replace approximately 9,895 feet of water main. According to Aquarion, the upgrades are intended to improve the water distribution system, enhance water quality and reduce leaks and main breaks that can lead to service interruptions.
"We greatly appreciate residents’ patience during this project," said Aaron Nezvesky, Aquarion’s manager of utility programs. "We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions."

Construction is expected to result in minor traffic delays and possible detours during working hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Norwalk-based M. Rondano Inc. will serve as the project contractor.
Aquarion said it will use its Everbridge notification system to alert affected customers about scheduled and unscheduled work. Customers can sign up for alerts here, and additional project information can be found on the Aquarion website.
