Make Music Day Returns To Downtown Stamford
The third annual Make Music Day will return to Stamford's downtown area this weekend, with 20 confirmed live performances.
STAMFORD, CT — The third annual Make Music Day returns to Stamford's downtown area this weekend with a mix of over 20 free outdoor musical events. The celebration will take place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to an announcement, Make Music Day is part of a global music celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music. Different from a typical musical festival, Make Music Day concerts are performed by anyone who wants to take part and can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to attend or view online.

Thus far, there are 20 confirmed live performances in the following music genres: Latin, jazz, swing, hip-hop, metal, pop, rock, country, soul, blues, Americana/bluegrass, folk, standards, musical theater, R&B, electronic indie/folk, singer/songwriter, reggae and more.
"The performances will be small, a majority are solo performers, and will be held in areas where space permits that social distancing rules can be followed," the announcement reads. "Please remember to practice social distancing and wear a mask while enjoying these performances."
