Renovations Announced At Grade A Market Location In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — Cingari Family Markets this week announced it has started renovations at the Grade A Market located at 563 Newfield Ave. in Stamford.

The family-owned company said in a news release the renovations will bring an updated interior decor and a refreshed produce, seafood, floral and meat departments. There will also be new and longtime favorite fresh prepared grab-and-go meal options.

The store will remain open during the renovation, and work is expected to be completed by summer.

"Our Newfield Avenue Grade A Market has been a staple in the Newfield-Turn of River neighborhood for decades," said Tom Cingari, Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family Markets, in a news release. "This renovation will highlight the convenient services we offer area customers while maintaining the personal, friendly service we are also known for."

Part of the renovation will include new, higher-efficiency refrigerators and freezer models to keep up with the company's commitment to sustainability.

"Being a modest-sized and independent market allows us to deliver customers a terrific and personalized shopping experience," Cingari added in a news release. "Whether you’re shopping for the week or just running out to pick something up for dinner, we always have you covered with a convenient store layout and helpful, friendly service. We believe the renovation now will only make the store better, and we cannot thank our loyal customers enough for their patience during the renovation process."

The Cingari family owns 12 grocery stores in southwestern Connecticut, including two Grade A Markets in Stamford. The other Grade A Market is located at 495 Hope St.

Cingari Family ShopRite has announced plans to refresh all of its markets. Most recently, the company celebrated its latest remodeling at the Shippan Avenue store, as well as in Shelton and Norwalk.

In March, renovations were announced at the ShopRite located at 1990 W. Main St. in Stamford.
