Schools Closed Tuesday In Stamford Due To Impending Snowstorm

Stamford Public Schools will be closed Tuesday due to the forecasted snowstorm, according to the district.

STAMFORD, CT — Due to the forecast for heavy snow on Tuesday, Stamford Public Schools will be closed, according to an announcement from the school district.

The storm could bring 5 to 11 inches of snow to the city, according to the National Weather Service.

Peak snowfall is estimated around 1 to 2 inches an hour between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., the city said in a news release Monday. The storm is expected to move out of the region in the late afternoon.
