Shots Fired, 2 Arrested In Stamford: Police
Police said a man was shot in the leg and later arrested after shots were fired in a Stamford parking lot near the Greenwich border.

STAMFORD, CT — Reports of shots fired in a Stamford parking lot late Monday night led to the arrest of two men, according to police. Lt. Tom Scanlon said the reports came in around 11 p.m., prompting officers to respond to a parking lot toward the end of Connecticut Avenue, near the Greenwich border.
Officers found "numerous shell casings" in the area, as well as discarded items from people who appeared to have "fled the area quickly," Scanlon said.
Scanlon said a parked vehicle in the area was struck by gunfire, as was a home on Havemeyer Lane across the border in Greenwich. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

After further investigation, police learned a man who was shot in his right leg had been dropped off at the Stamford Hospital emergency room. Scanlon said the man, later identified as Raheem Henry, 22, of Stamford, was treated and released from the hospital.
According to Scanlon, Henry was later arrested after officers located heroin and crack cocaine in his belongings during an investigation at the hospital. He was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, Scanlon said.

While responding to the hospital, officers also located a man in the parking lot, who was later identified as Jermaine Bethel, 24, of Bridgeport.
During their investigation, Bethel fled from officers, who pursued him on foot, Scanlon said. Officers ultimately caught up with Bethel, who was arrested on charges of interfering with police, Scanlon said.
Police are still investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to contact the department's major crimes unit at 203-977-4417.
