STAMFORD, CT - From Rock Out for The Red, White & Blue: Rock Out for the Red, White and Blue is a benefit concert for veterans, to be held on May 19th , 2019 at the Palace Theater in Stamford. In working with The Veterans Park Partnership, all proceeds will be kept local by supporting the rebuilding of Veterans Park located downtown Stamford and to also support veterans events and veterans groups within Fairfield County. Veterans Park Partnership is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All fundraising efforts from donations, placing an ad in the event program, t-Shirt sales, ticket sales and a silent auction, will be given directly to our veterans. The Backyard Humanitarians will also be supporting this event with their volunteer group that works with veterans in Stamford and surrounding communities.

The area’s most popular hometown bands; Freeride, Jump the Gunn and Impulse will provide the
entertainment. Active duty, veterans and families of fallen heroes will be in attendance.

Rock Out for the Red, White and Blue is the inspiration of event founder, Lisa May Melfi of Stamford. As the proud daughter of a United States Marine, Lisa has always had deep respect and appreciation of the armed forces. “Since I was little, my Dad taught me the importance of simply saying ‘thank you for your service’ whenever I encountered a veteran. This event is a way of not only thanking veterans and active duty soldiers, but making them feel like rock stars that night, and in addition, to raise money for the rebuilding of such a special park in Stamford and to support local veterans. I love the work that The Backyard Humanitarians do within our community and for veterans, so I am glad they are a part of this. It will be a fun night for the
veterans to be honored by our community and rock out with family and friends.”
