1. 2 Arrested After Officers Seize Bags Of Drugs, Loaded Gun, Other Materials: Stamford Police (patch.com) — Stamford police say a monthlong narcotics investigation led to two arrests, the seizure of multiple bags of cocaine, and the discovery of a loaded handgun in a Vernon Place apartment. Detectives from the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit executed search warrants on Sept. 17, recovering drugs, cash, and packaging materials, with both suspects now facing numerous charges and upcoming court dates in Stamford Superior Court.
   

2. Local Event: Tiny Tots Mega Kids Consignment Sale - Fall & Winter (patch.com) — Stamford families can score deals at the Tiny Tots Fall/Winter Kids Consignment Event, running October 2–4 at The Loading Dock on Fairfield Avenue. The Stamford-based pop-up brings thousands of gently used children's items from local consignors, with free public shopping on Saturday and a 50-percent-off sale on most items Sunday.
   

3. Motorcyclist killed in collision in Stamford (newportdispatch.com) — An 18-year-old Stamford motorcyclist died after a Tuesday night collision at High Ridge Road and Loveland Road, and another teen passenger was seriously injured. Stamford police are still investigating and are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad at 203-977-4712.
   

4. Architect brings community space, movie nights, funky vibe to downtown Stamford for Zoomers (ctpost.com) — A new 21-unit "urban Victorian" apartment building on Bedford Street is adding community space, movie nights, and a funky industrial-chic vibe to downtown Stamford. Designed by local architect Steve Aivalis, Bedford Creative targets young professionals with studio and one-bedroom units, shared terraces, and flexible "dual space" rooms that blend living, work, and social life.
   

5. Missouri District Needs Data Dashboards; Washington System Looking for Development Partner for AI Tool (edweek.org) — Stamford Public Schools is seeking a consultant to lead a community-driven process to define a districtwide "portrait of a graduate," building on work already done at its three high schools. Local families, students, educators, businesses, and higher-ed partners will be invited to help shape the skills and qualities Stamford graduates should have, with proposals due October 22, 2026.
