Stamford Man Under Investigation In Connection With March Shooting: PD
Police said a 32-year-old man who was arrested on May 7 is being investigated in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 14.

STAMFORD, CT — A 32-year-old man was arrested May 7 on gun and drug charges, and Stamford police say he's being investigated in connection with several shootings in the area, including one that occurred on March 14 on Stamford's West Side.
Ricardo Georges, of Stamford, was arrested Saturday and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition and possession of narcotics, Capt. Richard Conklin of the SPD said.
The State's Attorney's Office placed a $500,000 bond on Georges, Conklin said. Georges is scheduled to appear in court May 23.

Approximately 16 shell casings were recovered from the scene, police said.
A second shooting occurred on March 14 around 7:45 p.m. on Rose Park Avenue near the intersection of West Main Street. Investigators at the first scene heard gunshots and located a 26-year-old victim nearby, who was shot in the face but still conscious, police said.
Police said at the time preliminary information pointed to the two shootings being related.
"Through investigative techniques and video, [officers] determined that a car used in [the first shooting] is a 2020 white Honda Civic," Conklin said. "Their investigation further reveals that a party by the name of Ricardo Georges has been driving this car."
Police tracked Georges' movements in recent weeks, and obtained search warrants for him and his car, Conklin noted.
On the morning of May 7, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit and Special Response Team members, along with K9 Officer Califano and K9 Kane, executed the search warrants while Georges was walking on Sixth Street after he left a nearby gym, Conklin said.
Georges tried to run, but he was taken into custody "without incident," according to Conklin. Officers found a loaded semi-automatic pistol, along with five packets of fentanyl in Georges' backpack, Conklin said.
"This was very nice police work by these combined units," Conklin said. "The investigation into that shooting on that day continues, as well as his involvement in other shootings regionally."
In March, police said they arrested Tyrik McRae, 22, of Bridgeport, and charged him in connection with the first shooting.
McRae was charged with possession of a pistol without a permit; first-degree criminal attempt at assault; unlawful discharge of a firearm; weapons in a motor vehicle; and first-degree reckless endangerment, police said.
No arrests have been made yet in connection with the second shooting.
