Stamford Mayor, Police Department React To Fatal Bristol Shooting
Two Bristol police officers were killed and another was injured while responding to a domestic call late Wednesday night, state police said.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons has issued a statement on the shooting that killed two police officers and injured another in Bristol, CT, on Wednesday night.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the fallen officers of the Bristol Police Department, who tragically lost their lives last night while on duty, as well as a third officer who was seriously wounded," Simmons said. "This senseless tragedy reminds us of the threats and dangers our police officers face daily as they work to protect our families and communities. My thoughts are also with the brave men and women of the Stamford Police Department who honorably serve and work to protect our city and its residents every day."
The Stamford Police Department posted about the shooting on Facebook Thursday morning.
