UPDATE Stamford Rail Commuter Alert: Metro-North Railroad Drawbridge Woes Are Repaired

The railroad says trains are back on schedule.

Metro-North just reported: “New Haven Line service is now operating on or close to schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this incident.”

Metro-North Railroad riders on the New Haven Line should anticipate delays due to mechanical difficulties to the drawbridge in Cos Cob, the railroad announced Monday afternoon.

At 1:15 p.m., the railroad was reporting delays of up to 30 minutes.

In an email alert released just before 1 p.m., Metro-North said, “Personnel are on the scene working to correct the issue. More information will be provided as it become available. Please listen for announcements at your station.”

The railroad didn’t provide an estimate of when repairs would be completed.
