The Super Splash is designed to raise awareness about environmental changes in Long Island Sound, including warming water temperatures and shifting marine life. Proceeds will benefit SoundWaters’ climate science education programs, which provide hands-on learning experiences for students in the region, according to the organization.
Participants who register by Jan. 15 will be entered into a drawing for a pair of public sailing tickets for the Schooner SoundWaters this summer. Registration costs $30 for adults and $20 for those 18 and under, and is available at SoundWaters.org/SuperSplash.
