Stamford Woman Injured in Four-Car Crash
The crash occurred in Wilton and forced closure of the road, according to police.

A four-car motor vehicle accident occurred early Wednesday morning in Wilton, closing Route 7 and injuring three people including a Stamford woman.
According to police, a Port Chester man travelling northbound on Danbury Road at the intersection of Hollyhock Lane crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming southbound traffic. The vehicle struck a car operated by a Redding man travelling southbound at the intersection.

The car operated by the Redding man ended up sideways in the right lane of northbound traffic once it was struck due to slippery conditions, police said.
A third vehicle travelling northbound operated by a Norwalk woman struck the vehicle on the rear bumper. Following this, a fourth vehicle operated by a Stamford woman struck the rear of the third vehicle.

All operators except for the Norwalk woman were injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation.
