Teen Charged In Connection With South End Shooting: Stamford Police
Police said a 14-year-old was arrested Thursday and charged in connection with a shooting that left a 32-year-old man injured on Sept. 19.

STAMFORD, CT — A 14-year-old Stamford resident was arrested Thursday and charged in connection with a shooting in the South End that left a 32-year-old man injured, according to the Stamford Police Department.
On Sept. 19 at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to Woodland Avenue near Atlantic Street after receiving reports of shots fired, police said. The 32-year-old man was found with two gunshot wounds to the lower leg, and he was taken to Stamford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators recovered six bullet casings at the scene, reviewed surveillance video and identified witnesses to the shooting, police said.

An investigation showed that the man was targeted by the shooter, who was identified as a 14-year-old resident who had prior interactions with the SPD, police said.
At around 2:45 p.m., Thursday, the teen was located and arrested in the South End of Stamford.

Police said search warrants were executed at two locations in Stamford and evidence was recovered, however the gun used in the shooting was not found.
Police are not releasing the name of the teen because of his age. He was remanded to the custody of the state.
