Teen Motorcyclist Killed In Crash In Stamford: Police

STAMFORD, CT — An 18-year-old Stamford resident was killed after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a vehicle in Stamford on Tuesday night, according to police. A passenger on the motorcycle and two people inside the vehicle were injured.

The identification of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification, police noted.

The crash occurred in the area of High Ridge Road and Loveland Road at approximately 8:28 p.m.

A 2000 BMW 1150 motorcycle driven by the 18-year-old Stamford resident was traveling northbound on High Ridge Road, police said, while a 2024 Toyota Rav4 driven by a 61-year-old Stamford resident was heading southbound.

The Toyota attempted to turn from High Ridge Road onto Loveland Road and was struck by the motorcycle, police said.

The motorcycle operator suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Stamford Hospital by Stamford EMS. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at approximately 9:50 p.m., police said.

The passenger on the motorcycle, also 18 and a Stamford resident, was thrown from the impact and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Both occupants of the Toyota were taken to the hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
