Man, 54, Killed After Being Hit By Train In Stamford: MTA
The man was hit by a train at the Stamford Train Station around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, according to an MTA police spokesperson.
STAMFORD, CT — A 54-year-old New York man was killed early Thursday morning after he was hit by a train at the Stamford Train Station, according to Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department spokesperson Aaron Donovan.
The man, identified as Noel Smith, of New Rochelle, N.Y., was hit by a train at approximately 1:30 a.m., Donovan said, noting that the incident is being investigated as non-criminal in nature.
Several hours before around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Michael Haden Crouse, 38, of Newington, CT, was hit by a train and killed near the Cos Cob Train Station, Donovan said. An investigation remains ongoing.
