15th Annual Ocean Beach Volleyball Tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish June 2nd at Ocean Beach, New London

Over three hundred people will gather at the 15th Anniversary of the Ocean Beach Volleyball Tournament and Wish Family Picnic at Ocean Beach Park in New London on Sunday, June 2nd at 9:00 a.m. Come join us for a day at the beach filled with food, music, volleyball, and of course, our wish kids & families! Can you think of a better way to start the summer? Co-ed volleyball teams from around the state will compete once again to raise funds to benefit Make-A-Wish® of Connecticut, whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. At 11:00a.m., Wish Families from across the state will join the affair and celebrate together at the Wish Family Picnic, hosted by Ocean Beach. Wish Families will gather to share their stories, enjoy arts and crafts as well as prize drawings, and of course a fun-filled day at the beach. Since its inception in 1986, the Connecticut chapter has granted over 2,200 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions, and 163 wishes in 2012 alone. The Ocean Beach Volleyball Tournament and Wish Family Picnic has served for 15 years as a way to share the power of a wish with one another and look forward to another 2,200 wishes for Connecticut children with life-threatening medical conditions, enriching their lives with hope, strength and joy.
