4 Displaced As Fire Completely Destroys Old Mystic House

Firefighters arrived at an Old Mystic home minutes after a 911 call to find it consumed by flames.

MYSTIC, CT — A fire ripped through a Lantern Hill Road home early Saturday morning, according to the Old Mystic Fire Department.

The blaze was reported at about 5 a.m. when numerous calls came in reporting a house fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters arrived five minutes later and found a two-story home that was 80% involved in fire.

Everyone was able to escape the home safely. No firefighter injuries occurred.

Four adults were displaced by the fire, according to NBC CT. The home was completely destroyed.

The American Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.

Agencies that provided mutual aid during the emergency include Lawrence + Memorial Hospital paramedics, the Mystic Fire Department, the Poquonnock Bridge Fire Department, Stonington Ambulance, the Stonington Police Department, and Station T and Groton Fire Alarm dispatch centers.
