71st Annual Stonington Village Fair Next Month

STONINGTON, CT - The 71st Annual Stonington Village Fair will be held Saturday, August 5 at Wadawanuck Square, 22 High Street in Stonington. The Village Fair is one of the largest annual events in the Stonington Borough attracting generations of families and friends, residents, and tourists alike, to enjoy a nostalgic summer day at a traditional New England fair. The fair will feature children’s games and prizes, 50+ local artists in the Artisan Row, live music, lunch from Woodfellas Pizza and Captain Scott’s food trucks, plus dessert from Chet’s Italian Ice!

Fairgoers can experience Stonington’s charm first-hand with an array of used books for sale at the Stonington Free Library’s Annual Book Sale at the Village Fair, beautifully designed floral bouquets from the Stonington Garden Club, and loaves of sweet bread. The COMO Pottery Studio will also have handcrafted pottery for sale, sign-ups for pottery pawprint & handprint tiles, as well as coil pot planter workshops!

This year’s Stonington Village Fair poster, created by local artist Susan Scala features a duBois Beach scene. It’s a great souvenir and reminder of memories made. Pre-orders of posters and sweet bread are available at bit.ly/village-fair.
