The Mystic Pet Shop: Good morning. We have power. But we have a lot of snow. We also need to go sledding and have a party with our neighbors. We ask you to stay safe and stay home. We are closed today. Back to normal hours tomorrow. Have fun. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Inn at Harbor Hill Marina B&B — Blizzard Update from Inn at Harbor Hill Marina B&B:

  • 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, morning, 17 degrees and winds ~ 15 mph.
  • Have 7” where we are measuring in an open area, but that’s a low spot. Seeing drifts of nearly 20+”, and areas where where you can see the bare ground. Yea, it’s very, very windy, and the snow is really coming down hard at the moment. So Harbor Hill fans, how much snow do you have and where are you?

12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, Update:

The Mystic Pet Shop will be closed today. If you’re a local business that’s open or closed, feel free to let readers know in the comments below.

Mystic Aquarium: Just in case you’re the adventurous type and thought you’d check out the Aquarium while it’s snowing - please stay home! For the safety of our staff and guests, Mystic Aquarium will be closed all day Tuesday, January 27.

We do have plans to keep you entertained during the day, so stay tuned!

Only one North Stonington home is without power, per CL&P’s outage map.

10:08 p.m. Update

According to CL&P’s outage map, 324 homes are without power in North Stonington, or 13-percent of the 2,565 CL&P customers.

  • The Stonington Town Hall is closed due to the storm and will reopen for business at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
