Boil Water Advisory Lifted In Stonington
The Aquarion Water Company has announced an update to the boil water advisory that was issued on Tuesday.
STONINGTON, CT — The precautionary boil water advisory issued for Mystic System customers has been lifted, the Aquarion Water Company said in an update on Wednesday.
“Aquarion Water Company has collected and tested water samples from the Mystic System and no bacteria were detected,” officials wrote in a post on the Town of Stonington’s Facebook page. “The samples indicate that the water is safe to drink.”
The town had issued a boil water advisory due to a water main break affecting the public water system on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
