Breakfast And Lunch "Under The Big Top" At Touch-a-truck

SPECIAL, ADDED ATTRACTION AT TOUCH-A-TRUCK

The USCG will be displaying a 25 Foot Defender Class Boat- RB-S at Touch-a-Truck. The RB-S was developed as a platform to increase the long term HLS capability at shore stations in the wake of September 11, 2001. The improvements to this boat include a reinforced bow, full shock mitigating seating, larger cabin and LED navigation lights. All the children will want to visit this boat.

In addition, this year, people will have the chance to eat under the “Big Top”, a large tent erected by the Parks and Recreation Dept. in the center of McCook Park. If you come early, you can have a delicious breakfast of egg sandwiches offered by The East Lyme Rotary. If you attend later in the morning, you will be just in time for lunch. The East Lyme Auxiliary of Child & Family will be selling hotdogs, soda, and water. The Rotary will be offering delicious hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and egg sandwiches. Still hungry? Mike Powers and the Flavor King Truck will have ice cream and snacks. Throughout the day, The Lions will be selling their famous Kettle Corn.

All of these delicious, carefully prepared foods can then be eaten at picnic benches “Under the Big Top”. Come for Breakfast; come for lunch- you won’t be disappointed. After a delicious meal, visit the USCG Defender Class Boat!

The Eighth Annual Touch-A-Truck, co-sponsored by the East Lyme Auxiliary of
Child and Family Agency and the East Lyme Parks and Recreation Department, will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McCook Point Park in Niantic. (Rain date is Sunday, May 17th.). Admission is $4 per person. Children two and under are admitted free of charge.
