• Stonington football makes progress but seeks 1st victory (thewesterlysun.com) — Stonington football fans will see the Bears chase their first win Friday at Montville after showing big offensive improvement in a 60-42 loss to undefeated Waterford. Coach Ryan Francis expects key defensive backs to return from injury, hoping to shore up a defense that has allowed 131 points in two weeks and finally deliver a complete game for Stonington supporters.
