COMO's Mad Hatter Event: A Foodie Wonderland!

On Saturday, June 6, 2015, the Stonington Community Center will host a whimsical night of imagination as we celebrate 70 years of providing exceptional service to the larger Stonington community. The Mad Hatter 70th Birthday Celebration will take place at the Stonington Velvet Mill which will be transformed into Wonderland with Bill Turner as the event’s Mad Hatter and host. Foodies take note as over 25 popular area restaurants and vendors will come together in one night at the Mad Hatter in support of the COMO’s legacy.

Mad Hatter will feature a raw bar, specialty plates, open wine and beer bar, beverage tastings and sweet treats from our generous sponsors, including: Amapola’s Tea & More, Anthony J’s Bistro, Breakwater, Captain Daniel Packer Inne, The Dogwatch Café, Engine Room, Farm to Hearth, Harbour House, Levant Café & Boutique Roastery, Lis Bake Shop, Milagro Café, The Mystic Fishery, Mystic Oysters, Noah’s Restaurant, Pizetta, Red 36, S&P Oyster House, The Voodoo Grill, Water Street Café, and Zest Fresh Pastry, Cask & Keg, Foggy Harbor, Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island, Hosmer Mountain Soda, KEEL Vodka, Preston Ridge Vineyard, Revival Brewing Company, and Veraitea.

This event is the COMO’s signature event for 2015 replacing the COMO’s annual Stars over Stonington so as to celebrate their 70th Birthday. The evening is designed to be a Foodies Delight, featuring specialty plates from popular area restaurants all in one evening. The Queen of Hearts Silent Auction, Giant Chess, Crown’s Croquet, Cheshire Cat Lounge, Amazing Hats and dancing are also part of this exciting celebration. All proceeds from the event will support the COMO’s continued legacy.
